Local Brownie Troop #663 donates $400 from their cookie sales to donate diapers and supplies to help babies.

were carrying boxes of diapers and beautifully
decorated baskets filled with baby supplies and handwritten cards from each of the girls.
“We have seven wonderful girls ages 7-9 yrs. old. Our Girl Scout motto is to have our troop be „Girl Led‟. For the last two years our girls helped out non-profit organizations by selling cookies and have been featured in the SWFL Parent & Child magazine and several area newsprints. This year our girls sold over 2000 boxes of cookies and they wanted to use some of their earned funds to help babies in need of diapers and baby supplies.” said Cindy Ishley.
When asked why they chose Healthy Start, Ms. Ishley noted that she and her eight-year old daughter were recipients of Healthy Start when she was born and they had an excellent experience with your organization. “These are amazing young girls who are learning early in life about how important it is to give back to the community along with the warm and fuzzy feeling you get as reward for helping someone in need. . . especially a baby. We have many families that cannot afford basic baby supplies, and the donations from the girls will be a great help.” stated Cathy Timuta, Healthy Start Executive Director.
