Our Mission
- Reduce the number of infant deaths
- Reduce the number of premature or low birth weight babies
- Improve health and developmental outcomes for young children
We help ensure moms and babies have access to needed medical care and other community services to help give their baby a Healthy Start in life.
In 2010, Healthy Start served more than 17,000 pregnant women, babies and young children up to age three who were at higher risk for poor health outcomes.

Our History
Healthy Start Southwest Florida was formed as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization in 1992 and has proudly served our 4 county area for twenty years.
Healthy Start is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization serving Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee Counties since 1992.
The Healthy Start Coalition
In Southwest Florida, too many babies die from preventable causes and lack of health services. The Healthy Start Coalition leads a cooperative community effort to reduce infant mortality and improve the health of children, childbearing women and their families throughout Southwest Florida.
